Good

It's a good song . But the next time you should record the guitar and vocals induvidually . I mean , you barely hear the guitar . And try dubbing the guitar when you record it. Keep it up!

Kratzy responds:

so then listen to the final version if you wanna be a perfectionist about it all. its under my most recent.

Nice drum programming!

The sound is awesome! But I guess that's the metal foundry right ? Just a tip when you program drums , try to make hits have different velocities or else it will just sound programmed if you know what I mean , usually in a standard 4/4 beat in a 8th note pattern the first note is harder then the second , that goes for the 3rd 5th 7th etc . If you know what I mean :) And for guitars , try dubbing it 4 times and pan it 100 L 60 L 100 R 60 R for a PHATTER SOUND! ;) Keep up the good work :)

Warhector responds:

Thanks for the comment dimoria =D
im actually using superior drummer dfh, N.Y drumkit and the original combined : )
and I will try out the trick with the guitar mixing =) panning 100% and 60%
the velocity in this song is programed just for the sounds right xD thanks again man =)
keep on rocking!

Awesome!

This is awesome as always!
Reminds me of Rob Zombie songs .
But at the same time it sounds more "you" than anything!
Keep up the good work fucker!
And glad to see ur back ;)
(even though you won't admit it)
Cheers

Haha, perfect man. I still have to hit on some of your piano/ guitar tunes. There is one in particular that I want to vocalize on .

Also, after getting my real life priorities re-calibrated, I'm back. Have released a few songs now. "The Rot" being the heaviest. :)

Thanks for the review, motherfucker. It's fucking great to be back.

Cool melody!

Someone is a bit inspired by Yngwie Malmsteen and Far beyond the sun ;)
But overall this tune is sweet.
But the only thing that bothers me is the overall mix.
Like how the lead guitar gets pulled back a bunch. Try to cut the mids a bit on everything except the leads. That way you will get it to stand out without maxing the volume on it etc.
Keep up the good work fucker!
And yeah , check out my new shit. seems like advertisments is what newgrounds review boards are for so. Kisses n hugs

Metaljonus responds:

thanks for the review I'll be sure to go back and fix that. Inspired by malmsteen? nah man this track is from castlevania lol.

WOAH

This was pure genious. I love your guitar tone and drums. You have really evolved.
I can tell both you and me love Periphery ;D
Lots of OOMPH in your kickdrums etc. The only thing this song is a more twangy bass and it is absolutely perfect.
Keep this shit up or I'll fucking hunt you down!

HappyHomicide responds:

Hahaha, Dude check my soundclick, I never go here anymore. www.soundclick.com/drewsifstalin
also, Periphery is awesome, but Tesseract is godly.
<3 you, :P

Awesome!

Can't really say that this is my prefered genre but this is awesome.
I like how you really bring out your drumkit perfectly.
I like the melody and how the song moves. Be careful not to overuse your EQ filters though ;D The only think this song seems to miss is an extremly fat bassline. Other than that. Awesome.
Please leave a line at some of my newest shit.
Keep it up.

Box-Killa responds:

:D Yeah lol bassline is a bit of a mis, but it didnt work out

Haha

hadesrage responds:

danke o nice ; )

Wow

I really can't stop listening to this song. Just the fact that it took me like more than a month to just review it is crazy. I really love the verse riffs. With the harmonics.
I still can't understand quite how you do them. But I will find out ;)
I love everything about this song. But from time to time the drums sound extremly programmed. Try adjusting the velocity settings on the blast etc. So it sounds more human. Other than that. As I said , I can't stop listening to this !
It's so fucking awesome. Really captures the born of osiris feel. I've listened trough all their albums several times. Keep it up.

Deathcalypse responds:

Thanks a lot man! I've been trying to work on my drums lately to get a better sound, maybe i will put out a mix test for em soon.

Wow!

Best sound comming from you up to this date! The only thing that bothered me was the highhat hitting only the 1st and 3rd beat later on in the song.
Other than that brutal as FOCK!

Thanks for all your help, dude. :D

Awesome

guitars very precise and spot on.
Great rythms . The drums tend to become a bit boring due to the lack of fills and changes. For example you use the china for almost 30 seconds. The part at 01.00 is pure genious. One of the best riffs I've heard in a long time.
The only real problem with this song is the overallmix. And the part at 01.41 feels kind of empty due to only one guitar without backup. A couple of tips to improve your mix . The guitars need more middle . Try dubbing them 4 times (record the same stuff 4 times) and pan them 100 L 60 L 60 R 100 R use a compressor that has a bit more attack so the volume stays even and powerful. Then when you EQ the 4 tracks give them 4 different EQ:s sometimes you have to cut some frequensies to make others stand out. Try to have a really clean distorted guitarsound when you record and if you want reverb etc you put it on the track after you've recorded . Always makes the sound more clear and powerful. Try mastering the track so that it has a higher volume , but be sure to make it not clip. That's all the tips I can give you with the current info I have.
I give you a 10 and 5 due to the fact that you actually put some thought into your song and that the riffs are awesome.
Keep up the good work.
Cheers.

Throughdarkness responds:

Hey thanks a ton dude. I glad someone finally told me what to change in my mix. Its really hard when you spend so much time creating because in the end its hard to distinguish the good and the bad. Ill definitely try some of the techniques out. And thanks for the review, appreciate it bro.

I try to do music.
